New Living Room set from AMBIANCE

AMBIANCE has just released the Athena Living room set, so I've decided to upgrade my living room so it would match my AMBIANCE kitchen. Like other AMBIANCE furniture, this set includes a texture-changing menu, built-in poses, and tons of accessories.

The Athena Living Room set has 4 different themes (Black, Blue, Cream, and Earthtones), changeable via a menu. I really love this feature because I change my mind constantly, so it's nice to know that I have options to go for a rich dark theme or a light and airy theme.

Fishy Strawberry Summer Release

Fishy Strawberry has released some very pretty items for Summer. I'm wearing the Fishy Strawberry Pivano dress, Kerouac top, Ginsberg Halterneck top, and Cargo shorts. These items are so cute and comes in a variety of prints and colors.

I'm loving the cleavage on the Pivano dress, and the shape of the sculpted skirt is great too. This is a very sexy and casual dress.

This is going to be a good shopping weekend, there are so many new releases around the grid to keep you blissfully broke.

Truth has released 3 more amazing hairstyles. These weekly new releases have totally spoiled me, I feel kind of incomplete when there isn't one! Shown below are Giselle, Leah, and Cheryl in Cocoa colored. For some reason I've been craving different hair colors this week, not just my usual Platinum Blonde. This Cocoa texture is a really nice rich color, I lurve it!

Addict is a newly launched brand by Kianna Noel. I'm wearing the Addict PYT Tunic outfit, it includes the Tunic tank top, leggings, under shirt, and belt. This outfit can be easily mixed and matched with other items or worn alone (seen above). It's gorgeous and I love that she included ALL the possible layers & thoughtful enough to include an undershirt for people who want a more modest look. I can't wait to see more items from this brand :)

Donna Flora

Donna Flora is a brand that has lots of gorgeous vintage-inspired designs and they're all stunning! I stumbled into this shop for the first time several weeks ago and was kind of horrified that I had only discovered it JUST then. It was beautiful!! There were tons of jewelry, hair, dresses, shoes.. how could I not have heard of this shop before?

Need 4 Speed

Need 4 Speed has an amazing selection of sculpted sports cars and they come fully loaded with tons of features and customization options. SL ate my "vehicles" folder awhile back, so I lost my pink sports car but now I have a brand new one! Well, two actually, as of this morning :D Thanks to Need 4 Speed for being thoughtful enough to include a color-changing option in their list of features, so you're not stuck with just one color, but can choose from a variety of colors with each car.

This is the Need 4 Speed Diablo, which seats 1 driver and 1 passenger.

BeBae Erin Skins

BeBae is a brand that I have been blogging since the first skin release (Anael), and every release since then has been better than the last. In case you haven't noticed, the BeBae skins are named in alphabetical order - so far we've seen Anael, Belina, Coral, Delilah, and now... there's Erin!

Erin is the latest face to be released from BeBae, the makeups are simply gorgeous. Each skin includes 2 brows (light and dark), with lashes or without, and some makeups have several different variations thrown into the package.

Shown below is BeBae 'Erin' in Cinna skin tone:

Here are the light and dark brows included with the Cinna skin tone. These brows are great for Blondes, Brunettes, and every hair color in between! The Caramel skin tone (not shown), is darker and includes darker brows than shown below:

New SWA & Tiny Bird

SWA has just released these beautiful Cropped Jacket, they come in several patterns (plain, skulls, lace or roses) and includes two styles (open and closed jacket).

I have decided to pair my outfit today with a cute new hairstyle from Tiny Bird. The Lola hair is a short 'do with lots of short layers all around that curls slightly at the ends.

Wretched Dollies

I stumbled upon the Wretched Hollow sim about a week ago (on KoinUp), when I was searching for a nice in-world location to photograph in. There's a gorgeous shop selling doll clothing & accessories called Wretched Dollies, which I haven't heard of before. I was so delighted to see so many different dresses available and they come in a range of colors & designs.

Naive & Dark Mouse Collaboration

Naive & Dark Mouse have collaborated to make this darling Zoe dress and two matching jewelry sets that complements the dress perfectly. I'm wearing the Zoe dress in Yellow and Purple and the Dark Mouse Star Flower jewelry set.

KA Designs Casey Skin Preview

Can you guess whose skin this is??

This is the latest addition to KA Designs line of beautiful skins. Casey is one of three faces launching soon and I'm completely blown away by the sultry but youthful look of the skin. The face is perfect and the body is natural looking and soft, with very detailed and realistic shading. Each skin includes 2 brow versions (light brows and dark brows).

Here is the gorgeous body, one of the nicest boobs I've seen in awhile. When demoing skins, be sure to strip naked! Check out the body, the toes, the ears, and every place that is not visible when covered in clothing or hair. You'll be glad you did!

Truth has just released 3 gorgeous hairstyles and I love love love the bangs on these. Stephanie is a long flowy style with side swept bangs, Charlotte has an adorable color-changeable headband and Grazia includes a bonus, Grazia 2 with slightly different bangs.

I'm wearing this adorable new Haven Designs Sasha dress, and matching my headband to the stripes. I don't get a chance to wear Purple often, but I love the richness of the color.

A few nights ago I happily tried on this new unnamed skin from Lelutka's upcoming release! Minnu Palen is adding the final touches to the skin, but so far I'm loving what I see. It's an adorable face, as always, I lurve my Lulutka skins <3<3 and a totally new body with lots of subtle shine for that nice beachy look. I can't wait to see the full release!!

Do you want to be a fashion blogger?

There have been a lot of discussions on the do's and dont's for SL fashion bloggers lately. I've been blogging without a rule book for 2 years now and so far I think I'm doing OK. So here's MY own list of things you should keep in mind, not necessarily have to do, but it will be helpful:

Helpful hints for fashion bloggers:

1. Blog what you love

It's ok to blog just items that you love and gush about them. Even if your taste is not the same as everybody else, if YOU love it, it shows and somebody out there might have been looking for that exact item.

2. Be honest but not mean

Point out flaws but don't go out of your way to criticize. Whenever I see seams or other flaws, I will point them out. Now, if a designer was newer and their seams don't quite line up but the design is cute and was worth the $, I would let it slide! Does that make me a terrible blogger? I always consider the item overall, but there are some things that are unforgivable (like seams on a skin!).

3. Learn to take good pictures

A picture says a thousand words... bad lighting and a bad pose will discourage others from buying the items you want to showcase. And you do want people to buy it right? That's why you're blogging it in the first place? So read tutorials, ask others for tips, and figure out how to take nice photos! You don't have to be a Photoshop genius (I'm not), I just take pictures in-world and crop them using Picnik (the online photo editing service).

4. Don't start a blog for the "free stuff"

Whatever you do, don't start a blog because you think it will get you "free stuff", that won't happen. Designers have a sea of bloggers to choose from, they will most likely send review copies to bloggers they know will do a good job featuring their products, not just someone who wants the "free stuff" and disappears in a month or two.

5. Consider a blogging budget

Even though bloggers are known to receive "review copies", we still have to purchase a lot of items. Many designers do not send out review copies at all, and if you love something and want to feature it, you have to buy it. Consider making a blogging budget (anywhere between $5,000 and $20,000 weekly) and stick to it! Don't feel pressured to buy all the latest, and also make use of good freebies if you want to blog daily but not go into debt! :P

6. Be ready for criticism

People who don't blog themselves will tell you that you're not blogging right or how to blog. In most cases, I would say ignore them, but I think that anybody who publishes anything on the internet should be ready to accept both positive and negative feedback. Some of it might be valid, even if it's negative. I find that most of the comments on my website are positive but there are negative comments and I consider them without letting it ruin my day.

7. Blog for yourself

I can't think of anything else right now but I will end with this really important tip. When you blog for yourself, you'll be a lot happier than keeping up with all the latest trends or letting others dictate how you should blog.

That's all for now! These tips are just basic ones for newer bloggers but they're not set in stone or anything.

Head Mistress Foxy Hair

Head Mistress has just released this Foxy hair and it is totally BAD ASS!! It a messy and spikey updo, which I think is cute enough for gowns and other things too, not just casual wear.

If you haven't heard, artilleri will be removing the store card system on July 24th! I'll be wearing a lot of artilleri for awhile since I had to use my store card asap. I bought this fun artilleri Billie Biker top and paired it with the Betsy pants.

The Summer Lovin' Hunt is on!

I realized that I didn't do the credits for my outfit yesterday, so here goes! I'm using the Juicy MaximModel 4 pose, that can be found in the Summer Lovin' Hunt package.

Laqroki April Skins

Normally I save the nudies for last, but today let's do things in reverse! Check out these new Laqroki April skins, just one of the many beautiful faces from the Glow line of skins. This skin is perfect for red heads, because it includes natural looking red brows and a light dusting of freckles. However, the skin will work for Brunettes too since a version of Brown brows is included for each makeup.  I've also tried it with Blonde hair, and you can totally get away with wearing Blonde hair too! <3

Here are all 10 of the makeups in Fair skin tone:

Yep, this gorgeous fatpack will only cost you $1990L. The price is incredible, I can't imagine anybody would buy just one when they can have all 10 for a low price.

As you can see, the April skin is made for lighter girls, since the only skin tones available are Milky and Fair skin (shown above). I've decided show mostly the Red brows in this blog post, but as you can see, the Brown brows are incredible!! I think this skin makes such a striking Brunette, and perfect for that sweet pin-up girl look.

One last thing I wanted to mention about Laqroki skins that not a lot of people know about: open wide and you'll find a nice surprise inside your mouth! TONSILS! Mallory Cowen's amazing attention to detail by adding realistic looking tonsils inside the mouth is something that has not been overlooked.. I LOVE IT.
